Description

• Assess patients from various age ranges using standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans to meet both immediate and long-term patient needs for communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy that concentrates on various aspects such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing challenges.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams that include physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to establish seamless care approaches.
• Provide educational resources and guidance for patients and families to continue progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Facilitate occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure holistic care throughout the recovery process.
• Accurately document all treatment processes and outcomes in compliance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in continuous professional development to remain informed about the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been achieved.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
