The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients with cardiac conditions. Experience in telemetry and progressive care is essential. The nurse should have a solid understanding of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring techniques. The role involves pre and post-operative care for cardiac procedures. The nurse will perform tasks such as sheath removals and managing intravenous access. Blood product administration and central line care are part of the responsibilities. Additionally, titration of cardiac drips is expected. Flexibility to float to different units as needed is required. The nurse will adhere to a staffing ratio of 1:5-6. Weekend shifts are included, equating to 5-6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. Contract staff may be required to report to work during emergencies or disasters. Collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams is part of the role. Candidates must demonstrate a teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations.
