Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Medical Telemetry Duration: 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring is required. Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience is required. Accessing ports, Blood Product Administration, central Line/care management, and PICC line management experience. Ability to manage cardiac drips, including titration of Diltiazem and Amiodarone. Description: This position is cross-posted for various contracts. There is no request for time off after booking, and any additional requests could lead to cancellation. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Local candidates are also welcome. The staff will potentially need to float every shift as required. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6. 5 to 6 weekend shifts are expected, which equates to every other weekend. Clinical staff may be assigned to work during catastrophic events or disasters. The unit specializes in monitoring cardiac patients. Procedures performed include sheath pulls and TR band management. The unit utilizes various cardiac drips for treatment. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient care. Ideal candidates must exhibit a teamwork approach and interpersonal skills in all interactions. Candidates must comply with the call-off policy, which is strictly enforced. Pre-employment testing may be required within a specific timeframe. Floating between units may be required based on the needs. References may be pending upon application.
