We have a state of the art facility but it is our employees that separate us from our competition.CNC Programmer Position SummaryThe CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) Programmer is responsible for the creation and implementation of high quality CNC programs for operations in a production environment using various CAD/CAM and other software and models. The programs must be verified for accuracy and ready to be set up and proven out on the equipment. This role will also support the production floor with the process improvement and work to improve tooling management and cost reduction.ResponsibilitiesCNC Programmer Essential Job FunctionsWrites and/or modifies CNC programs and instruction sheets for multi-axis machined partsMonitors performance of program after implementation, adjusting as neededMaintain program filesProvide ongoing support for machining processesAssist in the training of operators on equipment and programs.Assist in the identification and evaluation of new tooling and fixture applicationsSets up and operates machine on trial run (prove-out), when afforded, to verify accuracy of machine setting or programmed dataDocuments all information pertaining to the setup and operation of each job assignedCommunicate effectively with the manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, plant personnel, and individuals outside the company.Continual programming of part familiesCompletes all other work-related duties as assigned.QualificationsCNC Programmer Minimum Requirement & QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in CAD/CAM programmingExperience as a level 3 machinistProficiency in computer skills and electronic data management (word, excel, network file structure)Working knowledge of cutting tool geometry, as well as speeds and feeds for types of materials used.Working knowledge of trigonometry and mathematical formulas needed to calculate machining processes.Working knowledge of blueprint reading.Working knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T).High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED) required.Able to interact with various types of individuals: operators, machinist, technical support and management.Experience with Esprit programming softwareExperience with Solid Works softwarePreferred QualificationsTwo-year technical degree, preferred4-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferredExperience with multi axis milling machines, preferredrms Company BenefitsAs a Cretex Medical company, rms offers a full benefit package to its employees.
