About the Role:

A nationally recognized personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join its growing litigation team. The firm has recovered more than $1 billion for property damage and personal injury clients nationwide and maintains a broad presence across the Central and Southeastern United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished trial attorney with substantial litigation experience who is capable of independently managing personal injury cases, developing effective litigation strategies, negotiating favorable outcomes, and taking cases through trial when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have significant jury trial experience, strong case evaluation and negotiation skills, and a client-focused approach. The attorney will work directly with clients throughout their cases while collaborating with a team committed to achieving the best possible results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage personal injury cases from initial evaluation through resolution and trial.
• Meet with clients to understand their claims, provide legal guidance, and establish strong attorney-client relationships.
• Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism while advocating for clients.
• Evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, and overall case value.
• Develop litigation strategies designed to maximize client recovery.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, demands, settlement offers, and case status.
• Negotiate settlements and pursue favorable resolutions on behalf of clients.
• Prepare cases for trial, including developing case strategy, preparing witnesses, reviewing evidence, and organizing exhibits.
• Handle court appearances, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Try cases independently when appropriate.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and keep them informed throughout the litigation process.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and other legal documents.
• Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal staff, and other attorneys to effectively manage cases.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Identify and resolve legal and case management issues proactively.

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Minimum 6 years of litigation experience.
• Personal injury litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Five or more jury trials as first chair preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex personal injury cases.
• Strong understanding of claim evaluation, liability, damages, and case valuation.
• Excellent negotiation and settlement skills.
• Strong trial advocacy and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish trust, confidence, and strong relationships with clients.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and case management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team-oriented environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
