In this pivotal role, you will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and HSSE to ensure the safe, stable, and efficient operation of our production processes. You'll lead troubleshooting efforts, manage process and equipment reliability, and spearhead improvement projects that elevate safety standards and operational performance. Your expertise will support compliance with PSM regulations, contribute to incident investigations, and foster a culture of proactive hazard recognition. Required Skills:

• 5-12 years of experience in operations, process engineering, or reliability within chemical manufacturing, process industries, or PSM-regulated environments
• Deep knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) frameworks
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action skills
• Experience with maintenance coordination, turnaround planning, and reliability engineering
• Proficiency in data analytics tools, CMMS, process historians, and process control systems
• Ability to lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, or SPC methodologies
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with risk assessment methodologies such as PHA, LOPA, or What-If analysis
• Knowledge of process hazard analysis (PHA/HAZOP) and pre-startup safety review (PSSR)
• Background in automation, instrumentation, drives, or control systems
• Experience managing small projects or capital initiatives
• Strong safety culture advocacy and incident investigation skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering
• 5-12 years of progressive responsibility in chemical process safety, operations, or reliability

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to relocate to Pasadena, TX, or operate remotely with travel as needed within the region
• Certifications in Process Safety Management (preferred but not mandatory)
• Ability to partner effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors
