- Support employee relations matters and workplace investigations, ensuring appropriate and timely documentation.
- Help ensure policies and HR practices are applied fairly and consistently.
- Recognize matters that require additional review and partner with or escalate to the CHRO as appropriate.
- Build positive, professional relationships with employees and leaders while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
Administer Benefits & Employee Leave
- Manage the day-to-day administration of Annandale’s employee benefit programs.
- Serve as a primary resource for employees with questions about benefits, enrollment, eligibility, and qualifying life events.
- Coordinate open enrollment activities in partnership with the CHRO, benefit brokers, carriers, and other partners.
- Administer FMLA and other applicable employee leave processes, including eligibility, required documentation, employee communication, and tracking.
- Partner with Payroll to ensure benefit elections, deductions, leave information, and employee changes are accurate and timely.
- Work with employees, benefit providers, and other partners to resolve benefit and leave issues.
Manage Workers’ Compensation
- Coordinate Workers’ Compensation claims from initial reporting through follow-up and return to work.
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers throughout the Workers’ Compensation process.
- Coordinate with carriers and other partners regarding claims, work status, restrictions, and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-up on open claims.
Keep HR Operations Running Effectively
- Manage day-to-day employee lifecycle processes, including status changes, transfers, and separations.
- Maintain accurate and complete employee records and personnel files.
- Ensure employee information within HR systems is accurate, current, and appropriately documented.
- Process and monitor HR transactions and workflows.
- Partner closely with Payroll to ensure employee and benefit changes are communicated accurately and timely.
- Maintain organized, complete, and audit-ready HR records.
- Identify recurring operational issues and bring opportunities for improvement to the CHRO.
Support Compliance & Consistency
- Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and regulatory employment requirements.
- Maintain required HR documentation and records in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Support compliance with DCH, DBHDD, and other regulatory standards related to employee records and HR practices.
- Help ensure established HR policies and procedures are administered consistently across Annandale.
- Support updates to HR policies, procedures, forms, and documentation in partnership with the CHRO.
- Assist with HR-related audits, surveys, and requests for employee documentation.
- Stay current on requirements related to assigned areas and bring potential compliance concerns to the CHRO.
Support Day-to-Day Performance & Accountability
- Support managers with day-to-day employee performance concerns, expectations, documentation, and corrective action.
- Help ensure performance-related documentation is clear, complete, and consistent.
- Partner with the CHRO on performance matters requiring additional review or escalation.
- Support components of the annual performance review process as requested, while the CHRO maintains responsibility for the annual performance review and calibration process.
Work as One HR & Talent Team
- Partner closely with the CHRO, Director of Talent Strategy, Recruitment and Retention Specialist, and Training Manager to provide a coordinated employee experience.
- Support a smooth transition from candidate to employee by ensuring HR documentation, benefits, systems, and employment requirements are completed accurately and timely.
- Share HR information, trends, and operational needs with the CHRO to support informed decision-making.
- Contribute to HR and organizational initiatives within the scope of the role.
