Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 per year A bit about us: A growing Chicago law firm is looking to add Commercial Litigation attorneys from Associate through Partner level to its expanding litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who want sophisticated commercial litigation work while having the platform, resources and financial incentives to continue developing their own practice and growing a book of business. The Opportunity: The firm represents businesses, executives and entrepreneurs in a broad range of sophisticated commercial disputes. Attorneys have the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of matters, work directly with clients and gain significant litigation and trial experience. The firm is particularly interested in entrepreneurial attorneys who have already begun developing business or established Partners looking for a platform that will actively support continued growth. Why join us? Compensation & Business Development - For an attorney who wants to bill more, build a book and be directly rewarded for both, there is significant earning upside. This is particularly compelling for an attorney who wants the resources and support of an established firm without getting lost inside a massive platform. Billable bonus: Hours above the annual requirement are compensated at 50% of the attorney's billable rate Origination bonus: 10–15% of originated business Lower 1,600-hour requirement for Partners 1,800-hour requirement for Associates Strong institutional support for business development and practice growth Job Details What We're Looking For: Candidates should have meaningful commercial litigation experience and be comfortable handling sophisticated matters through the various stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, substantive motion practice, mediation and trial preparation. Associate Level: Commercial litigation experience 1,800-hour billable requirement Portable business is a significant plus, ideally $200K+ Interest in continuing to develop client relationships and grow a practice Partner Level: Established commercial litigation practice 1,600-hour billable requirement Ideally $400K+ in portable business Strong client relationships and interest in continuing to grow their book Interested?
