Production Associate

Job Title: Production Associate Job Description The Production Associate supports manufacturing operations by assembling, processing, sealing, and finishing spiral-wound elements. This role involves operating rolling tables, conveyor ovens, caging/sealing equipment, and finishing tools, ensuring that products meet safety, quality, and productivity standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Operate rolling tables, conveyor ovens, and related equipment to assemble spiral-wound elements. Load and unload materials safely and efficiently. Apply adhesive glue lines and verify proper placement, coverage, and consistency. Inspect incoming and in-process materials for defects or damage. Record production data, inspections, and process checks accurately. Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and 5S practices. Meet daily production and efficiency targets. Operate caging and sealing equipment to apply seals to spiral-wound elements. Verify glue application for accuracy, consistency, and diameter per manufacturing standards. Perform manual trimming to remove excess material and expose serial numbers. Conduct detailed visual inspections to identify damage, defects, or quality issues. Document serial numbers, defects, scrap, and rejects in production logs. Notify Production Lead or Supervisor of recurring or increased defect trends. Support rework, cleanup, and other production activities as needed. Perform finishing processes including FRP outerwrap application, trimming, and seal carrier attachment. Conduct leak testing and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality. Inspect products for cosmetic and functional defects using calibrated measuring tools. Repair minor defects and perform rework as required. Label finished products accurately and complete production documentation. Assist with training of other operators and support continuous improvement efforts. Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and lean manufacturing standards. Essential Skills Production and machine operation experience. Basic equipment setup and adjustments. Rolling, caging, sealing, assembly, or finishing process experience. Glue application and verification skills. Quality inspection and defect identification. Manual trimming and hand-tool use. Use of measuring and calibrated tools. Production documentation and recordkeeping. Lean manufacturing and 5S practices. Safety compliance in a manufacturing environment. Team-based production work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum 6 months of previous production, general warehouse, retail, or construction experience. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials in a production environment. Basic math, measurement, and documentation skills. Ability to follow work instructions and quality standards. Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred. Ability to lift 50lbs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.32 - $22.32/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
