We are seeking a Machine Operator 2nd Shift for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting a precision machine shop environment in the San Marcos, CA. This role involves operating CNC-controlled laser equipment and related machining equipment to produce high-quality precision parts for the electronics industry.

This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing professional with 1+ years of machine operation, CNC, machining, or laser cutting experience who wants to continue building technical skills in a stable production setting. The work environment is clean, organized, team-oriented, and supported by experienced supervisors and machinists who provide training, guidance, and opportunities to grow.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC-controlled laser equipment and other CNC machines such as lathes or milling machines to produce precision parts.
- Load parts, operate machine controls, set offsets, make simple edits, prove tapes, and support production setup activities.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, manuals, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements.
- Inspect finished parts for conformance to quality standards and perform deburring as needed.
- Identify machine malfunctions, out-of-tolerance conditions, or quality concerns and make adjustments within assigned capabilities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and production-ready work area while supporting basic preventative maintenance.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $19 to $22 per hour. DOE
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
