Details Work in a 10-bed ICU within a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3 Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Block scheduling approved Epic charting system required Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (preferred) TNCC certification preferred Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Epic charting experience required Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, and port accessing/managing Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube assistance, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning (ETT, NT) Experience with continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation monitoring, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Experience managing CVA/acute stroke patients and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and pre/post cardiac catheterization care Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring and IV insulin protocols Experience in acute/chronic renal failure management and GI surgery care Additional Information Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients including respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, neurological, and GI cases Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted Former staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler No travel pairs or groups accepted All requested time off must be submitted and listed at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days automatically approved No time off permitted during the first week of orientation First-time travelers may be considered based on position details American Traveler Job ID #P-707887.
