Inventory Coordinator

Location: Long Beach, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday. Shift TBD. Must have flexibility to work different shifts based on operational needs.
Pay Rate: $29 per hour
Job Type: Full Time Temp

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Coordinator to support inventory and material operations in a fast paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, inventory accuracy, and the ability to respond quickly to changing production needs.

The Inventory Coordinator will work closely with Manufacturing, Receiving, Inspection, Engineering, and other teams to ensure materials are properly received, tracked, stored, and issued.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily inventory activities including receiving, stocking, picking, kitting, and issuing materials to support production and development.

• Maintain accurate inventory transactions within ERP and MES systems and ensure material traceability and data integrity.

• Process move orders and material requests quickly and accurately.

• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits. Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.

• Ensure materials are properly identified, labeled, stored, and tracked, including serialized and lot controlled inventory.

• Maintain compliance with established quality standards, including AS9100 requirements and proper segregation of nonconforming and MRB material.

• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Receiving, Inspection, Engineering, and other teams to support production requirements.

• Organize and maintain inventory storage areas including racks, cages, and line side inventory.

• Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, reduce material handling, and increase accuracy.

• Safely operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1 or more years of experience in inventory control, material handling, warehouse operations, or a related field.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on inventory accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team.

• Ability to work a flexible shift based on operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, production, or another regulated environment.

• Experience using ERP or MES inventory systems. Manufacturo experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of FIFO, cycle counting, and lot and serial number tracking.

• Experience working with serialized or traceable materials.

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

• Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems.

• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
