About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Cardiac)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac patients including those with acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, stable STEMI, NSTEMI, new onset and chronic A-fib, and heart failure
• Care for pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patients with and without intervention, as well as pre- and post-EP lab patients for pacemaker and/or ICD placement
• Monitor and manage patients using TR bands, central lines, PICC lines, and CVP monitoring
• Utilize rapid response teams as clinically indicated
• Participate in weekend shift commitments, with staff expected to sign up for 5 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
• Float to other system campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Cardiac telemetry and PCU experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Tikosyn loading and arrhythmia management
• Background in overflow progressive care level patient populations
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
