A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Minimum two (2) years' experience in an inpatient setting is required as is one (1) year experience in a psychiatric/chemical dependency field. About the Unit: STC is a 40 bed involuntary behavioral health unit for the most acutely ill patients in Ocean County. The majority of the patients have a diagnosis related to psychosis. The average length of stay is about 7-10 days.
