Work Environment

This full-time position will be based onsite at a reputable hospital facility in Boynton Beach. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while allowing for consistency in patient care. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will interact with a diverse array of healthcare providers and support staff, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in executing individual treatment plans for patients, following specific guidelines and protocols designed for various rehabilitation needs.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and utilize modalities, such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, as directed by the supervising physical therapist to aid in patient recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making note of improvements and setbacks to inform ongoing treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on various exercises and self-care techniques to empower them in their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including patient scheduling, processing intake forms, and managing follow-up appointments.
• Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of all therapy equipment, enhancing safety and efficacy in treatment delivery.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient and family concerns with empathy and professionalism to enhance their overall experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a PTA will primarily involve working with patients undergoing rehabilitation for post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The facility typically sees a patient volume of 1-2 individuals per hour, allowing for personalized attention and tailored care plans. You will engage with patients from various backgrounds, helping them navigate their rehabilitation journeys and achieve their therapy goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid PTA licensure in the state of Florida.
• Comprehensive knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and practices, paired with an understanding of the latest industry trends.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive rapport with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an inpatient or outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits
