Work Environment

The position is based onsite in a dynamic hospital environment, stimulating interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals from various disciplines. You will be part of a progressive rehabilitation team committed to the highest standards of patient care. Daily hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance while providing critical services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the implementation of customized physical therapy treatment plans that align with the specific recovery goals of each patient.
• Monitor and accurately document patient progress, ensuring to communicate any developments to the supervising Physical Therapist for ongoing care adjustments.
• Instruct patients in exercise routines and functional activities, employing best practices to promote safety and effectiveness.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during treatment sessions, employing techniques that adhere to hospital protocols.
• Collaborate closely with our multi-disciplinary healthcare team to synchronize care efforts, optimizing patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations, hospital policies, and state licensing standards to ensure compliance and maintain the integrity of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and those managing chronic illnesses. Each patient presents unique challenges that require your expertise and compassion, as you support them in regaining their strength and confidence during recovery.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure in Florida as a Physical Therapist Assistant or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure patient safety in emergency situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• A compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered focus, essential for building trusting relationships with patients.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a healthcare team to deliver collaborative care.

Compensation and Benefits

Empower Concierge Rehab and PT offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $60,000 annually, based on your experience and qualifications.
