Growing together.This is a per-diem position with potential to become full-time. Typical hours vary Monday-Friday 9am-6pm based on business needs. This position will work in both the Lake Success, NY location as well as Bayshore, NY.The Pediatric Echocardiographer's primary responsibility is performing cardiac ultrasound procedures on the pediatric population.Primary Responsibilities:Performs Echocardiograms/Ultrasounds of the heart following standard procedures Obtain prior authorizations for studiesDocuments all readings, measurements, and technical information appropriately into the electronic medical record systemDispenses Echocardiogram reports to the assigned Physician for reading and interpretationEnsures the highest quality of patient care while performing the study, ensures ICAEL requirements and standards are metPerforms Patient Education following standard proceduresComplies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as DPH, etc.Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectivesEnhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etc.Performs other similar and related duties as required or directedOptum NY/NJ was formed in 2022 by bringing together Riverside Medical Group, CareMount Medical and ProHealth Care. Together, we're making health care work better for everyone.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited and licensed school of EchocardiographyRegistered Cardiac Sonographer Certification or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certification or ARDMS CertificationAHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP CertificationPreferred Qualifications:Certified in Pediatric EchocardiographyExperience with prior authorizations for studiesPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $29.00 - $52.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
