Job Summary
We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with patients to determine their medical needs, develop the best course of action, and oversee their treatment plans, ensuring each client gets high-quality, individualized care. Check patients in and out, take care of all insurance billing needs. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable about healthcare practices. Pay rate determined by experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Verify insurance eligibility and Benefits
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims
- Welcome and check in patients while providing exceptional customer service
- Coordinate a variety of healthcare programs
- Develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients on their healthcare options
- Create goals and monitor progress toward goals
- Create schedules
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health records (EHR)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Care Coordinator, in a chiropractic or medical office
- Insurance billing experience
- Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Workers’ Compensation and No-Fault
- Certification as a medical assistant is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to work in fast-paced situations and make sound decisions quickly
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of compassion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
