SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSEThe Associate Director, IT Product Management – Enterprise Platforms plays a key role in delivering digital workplace solutions that enhance enterprise productivity, collaboration, and content management. This role supports the execution of platform roadmaps, manages product delivery, and partners with cross-functional teams to improve user experience and operational efficiency. The Associate Director contributes to innovation and continuous improvement across the digital workplace ecosystem.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy & RoadmapLead the execution of product strategy and develop actionable product plans and roadmaps.Team LeadershipLead a high-performing development and operations team to execute the product and platform roadmap. Address issues or gaps through informed decision making.Stakeholder CollaborationWork closely with internal stakeholders and end users to deliver new product features and resolve operational issues.Vendor ManagementSupport relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure delivery aligns with platform goals and service levels.IT Product DeliveryOversee the entire development life cycle, from conceptualization to delivery across products and stakeholders, including security, continual support and enhancements, change management and user adoption.Performance MetricsCreate and monitor key performance indicators to assess product effectiveness and business value.Budget ManagementAssist in budget planning and cost management across all products and sub product lines in his/her functional areas of support.Market AnalysisAnalyze trends and best practices again to identify opportunities for new features and improvements across products.Quality AssuranceEnsure that all product releases meet rigorous quality standards and compliance requirements if any, including SOX, GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.Security ProtocolsImplement and maintain security protocols to ensure all enterprise platforms and applications adhere to the latest security standards and protect sensitive data.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESRecruit staff to meet the unit’s immediate objectives and develop staff to meet longer term objectives.Appraise the performance of subordinates and recommend changes regarding job, pay and employment status.Assist with operating budgets, and capital budgets if required, and control expenses to adhere to approved budgets.Keep informed of company policies and procedures as well as keep current with technical and regulatory developments to ensure compliance.Develop policies and procedures or recommend revisions to facilitate the accomplishment of the unit’s objectives.Cooperate with management and staff of other organizational units to accomplish overall organizational objectives.Provide a safe workplace and ensure employees are aware of and adhere to safety policies and procedures.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIESEducationBachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 11 years of related experience; orMaster’s degree in a related discipline and 9 years of related experience; orEquivalent combination of education and experience.Experience5+ years in IT product management or digital workplace leadership rolesExperience in full lifecycle system development (design, implementation, validation and support) of cloud based solutions and platformsExperience in implementing and supporting financial applications within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.Experience with SAP is required.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesRequired:Advanced understanding of technical, functional domain and architecture of areas supportedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in ambiguous situationsKnowledge of an Agile-based service delivery modelAbility to multitask, work collaboratively across a matrix organization, and ensure flexibility in a dynamic corporate and team environmentSolid planning and tracking skills, well-organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects, and excellent time managementStrong judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.Ability to leverage both internal and external resources to expedite and deliver projectsAbility to work in a team environment, create timelines, and continually make necessary adjustmentsAbility to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment#LI-EZ1 Location: Alameda, CA Range for this position: $198,000 - $250,500 The base pay offered will take into account job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
