Property Accountant

Property AccountantWe are working with a client in Denver that has an immediate need for a Property Accountant. The ideal candidate will have experience with full-cycle property accrual accounting including AR, AP, bank reconciliations, journal entries, G/L review and financial statement preparation. Position details as follows:Prepares monthly reporting package within established deadlinesReconciles all bank accounts associated with each property in assigned portfolio on a monthly basis.Ensures all member accounts are billed correctly each month for all dues, late fees and covenant violations in accordance with the governing documents and per Board Member and/or Property Manager directionAssists in the development of the operating budget for each HOAResponds to and resolves issues and requests of Board Members, Property Managers, Lenders and MemberFollows standard policies and procedures to ensure internal and external reporting requirements are metPrepares year-end financials and notes for CPA preparation of tax returnsPrepares 1099'sProvides all necessary documentation for annual audit and assists auditors as neededAssists with new client set upAd hoc and special projects as neededNecessary SkillsBachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance with minimum of three years' experienceEffective verbal & written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlinesSelf-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented team playerKnowledge of MS Office Suite with intermediate Excel skillsPreferred SkillsHOA accounting experienceKnowledge of Community Association rules and regulationsReal Estate accounting softwareIf you are interested in this opportunity please send a copy of your resume to View email address on click.appcast.io ind123 SFGA CB123
