Work Environment

Our onsite rehabilitation facility is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technologies to facilitate optimal patient care. The Orthopedic team operates in a synergistic environment characterized by teamwork and open communication. We provide about 40 hours of scheduled work each week, including the possibility of variable weekend shifts, allowing flexibility in scheduling while adhering to our commitment to patient care standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic injuries or conditions, discussing functional limitations and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and patient education to promote recovery.
• Ensure effective communication with the interdisciplinary treatment team, referring physicians, and other healthcare providers to align on patient goals and continuous care strategies.
• Consistently assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, employing a cycle of ongoing evaluation and modification to meet evolving needs.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment progress, and clinical decisions in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, maintaining thorough and accurate records.
• Integrate patient education into every interaction, providing guidance regarding home exercises and lifestyle modifications that enhance recovery and prevent re-injury.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Good Movement Physical Therapy, you will work primarily with patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and various orthopedic conditions. Our diverse patient population ranges from young athletes to elderly individuals, all seeking tailored rehabilitation services aimed at improving mobility and quality of life. Your expertise will play a significant role in facilitating patient outcomes and restoring functionality.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Active state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is mandatory.
• Current CPR certification is required to ensure patient safety in emergencies.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and ongoing professional development through relevant workshops or certifications will be considered assets as we value continuous improvement and skill enhancement.

Compensation and Benefits
