Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients with a range of orthopedic conditions, identifying functional limitations, and developing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.
• Consulting with healthcare providers regarding the patient's continuum of care and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive support is provided.
• Implementing and managing patient treatment plans while ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and professional documentation standards.
• Providing patient education and involving family members in the treatment process to enhance understanding and compliance with therapy.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of treatment progress and outcomes, in accordance with regulatory requirements, and submitting charges for services rendered.
• Participating in community outreach programs and leadership functions aimed at promoting health and wellness.
• Attending staff meetings, engaging in continuous professional development through workshops and training opportunities to enhance your skillset.
• Supervising assigned support staff and allocating department resources efficiently to optimize patient care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. This population includes individuals of all ages, from adolescent athletes to elderly patients seeking rehabilitation after hip or knee replacements. Your ability to adapt treatment techniques to suit varying cultural contexts and age groups will be essential in delivering effective care.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, essential for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is highly desirable, particularly for candidates familiar with a variety of treatment modalities and techniques used in orthopedics. Compensation and Benefits
