Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function in clients recovering from orthopedic conditions.
• Overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure the effective implementation of care plans, providing guidance and support in delivering therapy services.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic assessments, including tests on muscle, nerve, and joint function.
• Assessing clients' home environments to identify opportunities for improving their independence and making tailored recommendations that align with their rehabilitation goals.
• Administering advanced therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, traction, and appropriate physical modalities to enhance recovery.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices as required, ensuring patients are equipped with the necessary tools for their rehabilitation.
• Collaborating with physicians and case managers to devise and modify care plans based on clients' progress and feedback.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Participating in regular case conferences, collaborating with multi-disciplinary team members to share insights and refine treatment strategies.
• Educating clients and their families on home exercise programs and the proper use of therapy devices to reinforce therapy efforts outside of clinical visits.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve primarily include individuals with orthopedic conditions—ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management—requiring comprehensive therapeutic approaches tailored to their unique needs. Our focus is on delivering holistic and personalized care that supports both physical rehabilitation and overall well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and collaborate with team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant technology in a healthcare setting.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of clients and the workplace.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience in a similar rehabilitation setting is preferred, we encourage enthusiastic new graduates to apply if they demonstrate a commitment to patient care and a passion for physical therapy. Familiarity with therapeutic exercise programs and an understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation practices will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000–120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
