Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Manual Machinist for our manufacturing client to start immediately at $28-$35/hr DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!

Responsibilities:

A growing industrial repair and machining operation is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for its Broadview, Illinois facility. This is a hands-on role supporting the repair, modification, and manufacture of industrial components, with work focused on custom, one-off, and low-volume projects rather than repetitive production machining.

The ideal candidate will be confident working from blueprints, dimensional specifications, worn or damaged components, and field samples. This position is well suited for a machinist who enjoys diagnosing machining challenges, setting up equipment independently, and producing quality replacement or repair parts.

• Set up and operate manual engine lathes and manual milling machines
• Machine industrial components including shafts, bushings, sleeves, spacers, hubs, housings, and related parts
• Perform turning, facing, boring, drilling, tapping, threading, milling, and similar machining operations
• Cut keyways and machine other required component features
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, dimensions, and existing part samples
• Complete repair, restoration, and modification work on used or damaged components
• Produce parts to required tolerances and inspect finished work for dimensional accuracy
• Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and related tools
• Support reverse-engineering efforts when drawings or specifications are unavailable
• Inspect work throughout the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Location: Broadview, IL

Schedule/Shift Details: First Shift

• Overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Manual Machinist
• Strong hands-on experience operating manual lathes
• Experience operating manual milling machines
• Ability to independently set up machining equipment and determine appropriate machining methods
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and dimensional specifications
• Comfortable machining both new components and repair/replacement parts
• Solid understanding of machining tolerances, fits, and precision measurement
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other inspection tools
• Ability to troubleshoot machining, setup, and component-repair issues
• Experience in industrial repair, gearbox repair, job-shop machining, or similar custom machining environments is preferred
