Overview

As a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking group, you’ll provide clients with objective advice on all aspects of M&A and capital markets alternatives through highly focused industry teams with world‑class, global execution capabilities. You will lead the MedTech sector coverage as part of a broad healthcare and life sciences coverage group, initiating and executing high‑profile transactions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead investment banking engagements within the MedTech sector.
• Originate and execute buy‑side and sell‑side M&A transactions as well as capital markets transactions for private and public middle‑market enterprises and relevant private equity sponsors.
• Communicate EY’s unique investment banking capabilities to clients’ senior executives.
• Lead and develop a team of mid‑level and junior members, ensuring their career development.
• Prepare compelling pitch materials, offering memoranda, and related materials for M&A and capital‑raising mandates.
• Conduct extensive financial analysis, valuation, and pro forma modeling.
• Identify key issues and potential areas of valuation and transaction risk.
• Perform in‑depth sector market and company‑specific coverage.
• Contribute to recruiting and team development initiatives.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of directly related work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 7 years of related experience.
• Extensive investment banking experience, particularly originating and executing M&A transactions.
• Existing Series 7 and/or 79 plus Series 63 securities licenses in good standing.
• Ability to work directly with clients as the most senior banking team representative and manage all client deliverables.
• Strong experience leading transaction origination and execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of leveraging AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

• Competitive base salary ranging from $265,000 to $325,000, with adjustment based on education, experience, skills, and geography.
