Commercial Lines Insurance Producer

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Lines Insurance Producer to join a growing independent insurance agency. This role is responsible for developing new commercial business opportunities, cultivating long-term client relationships, and providing customized insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of business clients.

The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with strong business development skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to generate and close new business opportunities. This position is supported by an experienced Commercial Lines service team, allowing producers to focus on client acquisition and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prospect, develop, and secure new Commercial Lines insurance accounts through networking, referrals, cold calling, and community involvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, executives, and other key decision-makers.
• Evaluate clients' insurance needs, identify potential exposures, assess overall risk, and recommend appropriate commercial insurance solutions.
• Present coverage recommendations, prepare proposals, and negotiate terms with prospective clients.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with insurance carriers to provide competitive coverage options.
• Build, manage, and maintain a consistent sales pipeline to achieve production goals.
• Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, and new business objectives.
• Collaborate with experienced Commercial Lines Customer Service Representatives to ensure seamless policy implementation, renewals, and ongoing client service.
• Maintain current knowledge of commercial insurance products, underwriting guidelines, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the agency professionally at networking events, business organizations, and community activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Prior sales experience with a demonstrated ability to develop and close new business.
• Active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty Insurance License, or the ability to obtain one within a short period of hire.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and client management abilities.
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to succeed.
• Proven ability to generate leads, build a sales pipeline, and consistently achieve sales goals.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Commercial Lines insurance sales experience.
• Experience working with commercial insurance carriers and underwriting guidelines.
• Familiarity with agency management systems such as EPIC and CSR24.
• Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience.
• Established network within the local business community.
