Territory Manager

Job Summary

The Territory Manager serves customers by developing and maintaining sales within a general geographical area, meeting customer needs, and growing Kloeckner business as aligned with company strategy. This position reports directly to the Commercial Director in a region. This position is remote and will support the DFW and North Texas areas.


Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Services existing accounts, obtain orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential new business
• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management
• Works closely with inside sales and production teams to ensure customer needs are met and problems are adequately resolved in a timely and complete fashion
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Provide historical records by maintaining records on territory and customer sales
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year in the metals industry with some level of product knowledge
• Results driven individual with high-performance standards of themselves and others
• Strong external and internal customer focus
• Previous work experience in sales, management, account management, or relevant experience
• Experience using a CRM to maximize productivity and sales effectiveness
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Strong interpretation and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple customer accounts
