Armed Security Officer - Full Time

Position Summary Allied Universal is hiring a Armed Cleared Security Officer. The Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. You will receive specialized training in site‑specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing skill development and professional growth. Site Specific Details Location: Greenville, SC Hourly pay starts at $20.00 / hour with an increase after 90 days of employment Full Time: 2 consecutive days off Shift schedule: Day Shift: 6am - 2pm Evening Shift: 2pm - 1pm Overnight Shift: 10pm - 6am Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or armed security experience Minimum of 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license Driving policy: Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, clean driving record per policy requirements, and ability to safely operate a vehicle Note: If you do NOT have an active Secret Clearance, we can help you obtain one if you are selected. Responsibilities Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site Greet guests and employees; escort visitors and contractors; secure ingress and egress points; secure classified information Follow site‑specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary Qualifications (MUST HAVE) High school diploma or equivalent, or 3+ years of verifiable experience Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience Minimum of 21 years of age Must be a United States Citizen to obtain required government clearance Must be able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field Benefits Health insurance and 401k plans for full‑time positions Schedules that fit with your personal life goals Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and more Equal Opportunity Employer Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
