Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform access control, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post requiring professionalism, strong communication, and customer service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a defense industry location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and unusual activity. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations for restricted areas, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns. Support access control, incident reporting, and post orders while handling sensitive environments and changing conditions with professionalism and attention to detail. Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card or license is required. A minimum of 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, and/or military experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
