The right individual will have 3+ years of experience leading & managing a team in a manufacturing environment, and will ensure that safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are achieved, while meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals.In addition, the individual in this role will be responsible for creating a culture based on integrity, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration that will enhance the department's ability to attract, develop, and retail top talent. The Production Supervisor is responsible for all people leadership and management aspects of the department, including the interviewing and selection of talent and all components of performance management.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDrive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequenceMonitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutionsPlan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignmentCreate, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.Train and understand of all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it's up to date and accurateTroubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvementAccurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in timely manner.Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties.Self-motivated with results-driven approach.Ability to prioritize workload.Effective verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skillsEnvironmentExposure to moving equipmentInside workHeat may exceed 90 degrees FahrenheitHumidity may exceed 80%Noise may exceed 85dB+Physical CharacteristicsFrequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75%Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs.)Frequent typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice- assisted as needed.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree preferred or relevant manufacturing experience requiredHigh School diploma or equivalent required5+ years' experience with a minimum 3 years' experience working in a supervisory position.Strong Background in manufacturingProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required, with some knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint.CompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis' total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $80-$100K.Compensation details listed in US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits.
