Product Quality Engineer – Aerospace & DefenseLocation: Rochester, NY | Pay: $50–$55/hr | Full-Time, Onsite (9/80 Schedule)OverviewJoin a leading aerospace team supporting advanced electro-optical and electronic systems. This role ensures product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across development and production.ResponsibilitiesLead AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) reviews and approvalsDrive root cause & corrective actions (RCCA)Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standardsConduct audits and analyze quality metricsSupport MRB/FRB activities and resolve nonconformancesCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, customers, and suppliersManage supplier quality and support audits (travel as needed)RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience in quality engineering (aerospace, defense, or regulated industries)Strong knowledge of AS9102 and corrective action processesAbility to read engineering drawings/specificationsStrong communication skills; onsite availability requiredPreferredASQ Certification (CQE, CQA)Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, APQP, MSAAerospace or avionics backgroundWhy JoinCompetitive pay ($50–$55/hr)Flexible 9/80 scheduleWork on cutting-edge aerospace and space programs
