Kid Zone Supervisor

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Kid Zone Supervisor to join our team. We spend our days positively impacting the community by helping children reach their potential and enact age‑appropriate goals. Benefits Free YMCA membership with access to all branches Sweet discounts on child care and summer camp programs Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Generous paid time off plus six paid holidays throughout the year Supplemental insurance benefits Qualifications 18+ years of age At least 2 years of experience working in child care (professional experience not required) Possess leadership skills or experience Able to perform life‑saving skills in first aid, CPR, AED, and emergency oxygen (training provided) Responsibilities Maintain a fun, safe, and clean environment for children to play and learn Offer assistance to co‑workers to help others Ask children questions and build on that information during subsequent visits Greet parents with a smile, learn their names whenever possible, and ask open‑ended questions Consistently greet parents at pick‑up with positive feedback about their children, even when necessary to address concerns, and end the conversation with an affirmation Interact with co‑workers and members respectfully Vigilantly monitor children and their environment Prevent risk, bullying, and misbehavior Communicate with the team on duty to prioritize tasks Follow all opening and closing procedures independently when working overnight shifts Attend required organizational and departmental meetings Demonstrate a willingness to further understand child development concepts and behavior‑management skills through materials provided by the supervisor What You Can Expect Support and training from an amazing team Opportunities to learn and grow at the YMCA Being part of a non‑profit organization that works to strengthen the community Great members to work with every day Equal Opportunity Employer YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
