Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (HS Clinical) Physician Assistant Clinical Faculty

Position Overview Position title: Physician Assistant Clinical Faculty Salary range: $82,200 - $240,000 (minimum pay is set by UC salary scales; base pay negotiated annually) Application Window Open date: January 22, 2026 Review date: Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, January 22, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time). Position Description Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the University of California San Diego School of Medicine Atkinson Physician Assistant Education Program. This 12‑month, full‑time founding principal faculty position involves teaching, evaluating, and advising didactic and clinical year physician assistant students. The role includes a clinical release day to provide clinical care in the UCSD Medical Center system. Participation in scholarly activity, professional activity, and research will be mutually agreed upon with the program director. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application): Master's degree in physician assistant studies from an ARC‑PA‑accredited program Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants California physician assistant license (or eligibility to obtain one at the time of hire) One year of clinical experience Preferred qualifications: Advanced degree in education, teaching, or learning sciences Knowledge and experience with Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant’s current standards Managerial and leadership experience One year or more of experience in physician assistant education Three years or more clinical experience Application Requirements Document requirements: Curriculum Vitae – most recently updated C.V.
