The base pay range for this position is $300,000 - $350,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. UC Salary information can be found here: 2025-2026 Academic Salary Scales Position description The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, and the Cardiovascular Institute at UC San Diego are committed to academic excellence among the faculty, staff, and student body and are actively recruiting for academic general cardiovascular medicine positions. Selected candidates will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients and for training and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Selected candidates may also have opportunities to conduct clinical trials. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.
