Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and, if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $82,200 - $240,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Position Description The Department of Pediatrics at UC San Diego (UCSD) is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body. Our Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is seeking Pediatric Gastroenterologists to join our Division at UCSD and Rady Children's Health (RCH), with an opportunity to focus on pancreatic disorders. Successful candidates will join a GI practice of 23 attending faculty, 7 advanced practice providers, and 6 ACGME pediatric gastroenterology fellows. They will contribute to the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology's mission of delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient care and performing procedures. They will also supervise, mentor, and teach pediatric residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical and academic activities. Additionally, they will actively participate in scholarly and research endeavors, contributing to the department's academic mission. Appointments may require candidates to be self‑funded. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Qualifications MD or equivalent. Eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
