What You'll Do As an Angiography Technologist, you will assist with a variety of vascular and interventional procedures while ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and procedural efficiency. Responsibilities Providing procedural support as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring technologist Operating angiography and interventional imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images Preparing patients for procedures and verifying patient identification and orders Assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures Maintaining sterile technique and adhering to infection prevention standards Following radiation safety practices to protect patients and caregivers Managing procedural supplies, equipment, and documentation Monitoring patients throughout procedures and communicating relevant information to the care team Supporting post-procedure care, including hemostasis management and sheath removal as appropriate Maintaining a safe, organized work environment Minimum Qualifications Minimum 1 years Angio/Interventional experience or Vascular/Interventional radiography certification ARRT - American Registry Upon Hire Required BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required ACLS - within 120 Days Required for non-pediatric hospitals PALS - Pediatric Advanced within 120 Days Required for only pediatric hospitals Preferred Qualifications Experience with complex interventional procedures (PTA/Stenting, Embolization, Thrombectomy, Neuro Interventions, etc.) Physical Requirements Ongoing need for caregiver to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require caregiver to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment and supplies with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.). May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
