As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Albany, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will work with agility, reliability, and integrity while contributing to a caring, team-focused culture that values people and innovative service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support store operations, assist with access control practices, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing customer and employee activity, reporting incidents promptly, and following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
