Job Type: Direct Hire, Exempt Salaried Job Summary We are hiring a Production Supervisor for a client in Lithonia, GA. This is a direct hire opportunity for a hands-on leader responsible for driving safety, quality, and production performance on a night shift operation. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of supervising production teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise production floor operations during a 12-hour night shift, spending the majority of time on the floor
- Schedule employees across lines and workstations; manage attendance, breaks, and daily assignments
- Track KPIs across Safety, Quality, Production, Service, and Efficiency - identify trends and correct issues proactively
- Conduct floor audits, verify adherence to standard work and procedures, and address deficiencies in real time
- Inspect product and sign off on quality control check sheets per established standards
- Enter production and employee data into SAP and other systems as required
- Lead onboarding and training for new hires; ensure completion to standard
- Handle employee development, performance feedback, discipline, scheduling, and time-off approvals
- Partner with other departments and management to meet production targets
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience working in a production environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and an on-call 2-2-3 rotating schedule
- Bachelor's degree
- SAP experience
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Experience in paper converting, chemical/plastics processing, or industrial packaging
- Prior experience with KPI tracking and reporting
