Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (Telemetry) provides direct cardiovascular-focused care in a fast-paced medical-surgical and tele unit using a team nursing model. The RN monitors cardiac rhythms, interprets dysrhythmias, and manages patients' evolving needs to support safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor telemetry continuously and assess cardiac rhythm changes promptly.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and initiate appropriate nursing interventions per protocol.
• Manage dysrhythmias through timely escalation and coordinated care with the healthcare team.
• Provide patient advocacy, education, and support to patients and families regarding cardiovascular care.
• Coordinate care delivery with an interdisciplinary team using a team nursing approach.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication using standardized charting practices.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active WV/Compact RN license (or submit with pending RN licensure for approval).
• Possess at least 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA required).
• Demonstrate competency in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Demonstrate ability to manage dysrhythmias using clinical judgment and established protocols.
• Provide minimum 2 recent manager/charge nurse references (past 2 years).
