Litigation Legal Assistant

Job Description

A national law firm is looking for a client facing Litigation Legal Assistant for their Denver office!

• Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
• Draft, format, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, affidavits, and correspondence.
• Prepare and organize exhibits, trial notebooks, witness files, and case materials.
• Coordinate service of process and track deadlines related to filings and court requirements.
• Support trial preparation by organizing evidence, exhibits, and witness documentation.

• Maintain electronic and physical case files in accordance with firm policies.
• Monitor litigation calendars, court deadlines, scheduling orders, and statute limitations.
• Track discovery schedules, depositions, hearings, and trial dates.
• Manage document management systems and ensure accurate filing and recordkeeping.
• Prepare case status reports and assist with matter organization.

• File legal documents through state(CO) and federal electronic filing systems.
• Ensure compliance with court rules, local procedures, and filing requirements.
• Coordinate with court personnel, process servers, court reporters, and expert witnesses.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable court procedures and litigation protocols

• Maintain attorney calendars and scheduling.
• Draft legal correspondence and routine communications.
• Process time entries, billing information, expense reports, and client matter administration.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and legal documentation as needed.
• Assist with conflict checks, new matter openings, and file maintenance.
