Compensation

1–2 years of experience: Starting annual base salary range of $85,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and the potential for additional compensation through incentive/bonus structures and discretionary bonuses.

About the Position

We are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team and take an active role in managing cases from initial investigation through resolution. This position is designed for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and the opportunity to work closely with the attorneys and team supporting each matter.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, organized, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of assigned matters while working collaboratively with the firm.

Position Responsibilities

The Litigation Associate Attorney will be involved in the full life cycle of assigned cases, including:

• Investigating claims, facts, evidence, and legal issues.
• Evaluating cases and developing litigation strategies.
• Conducting legal research and analysis.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Managing discovery, including written discovery, document review, depositions, and discovery disputes.
• Preparing for and participating in hearings, conferences, mediations, and other court proceedings.
• Preparing cases for pretrial and trial.
• Participating in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Communicating with clients regarding case status, strategy, and legal issues.
• Working with paralegals and other members of the legal team to efficiently manage cases.
• Maintaining accurate case files, deadlines, calendars, and litigation tasks.
• Handling matters through resolution, including trial and appeal when applicable.

Billable Hour Expectation

This is a full-time attorney position with a monthly billable-hour requirement of 150 hours.

The Associate Attorney will be expected to effectively manage assigned matters, maintain accurate and timely timekeeping, and meet the firms monthly billable-hour expectations while maintaining high-quality legal work and client service.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Colorado Bar admission and ability to practice law in Colorado.
• 1–2 years of relevant legal experience preferred.
• Litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a collaborative legal team.
• Professional judgment, organization, dependability, and a commitment to providing quality legal representation.

Compensation & Benefits

For attorneys with 1–3 years of experience, the starting annual base salary range is $85,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience.

In addition to base salary, the position includes benefits and the potential for additional compensation through incentive/bonus structures and discretionary bonuses.

The final compensation offered will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
