Description JOB INFORMATION Title: Assistant Manager, Bus Schedules Authority: TA/OA Department: Operations Planning Division/Unit: Bus Schedules Location: 2 Broadway, Manhattan Hours: Any Telework (if Applicable): Reporting Manager (if Applicable): Senior Manager Bus Schedules Deadline (if Applicable): Compensation: $92,632 -$115,790 (GEN005) POSITON SUMMARY This position is accountable for assisting in the management, coordination, development and production of efficient, economical, and reliable timetables and work programs for NYC Transit Buses. RESPONSIBILITIES This position is accountable for producing and preparing efficient, economical and reliable bus schedules and work programs for NYCT bus service, for normal course of business and/or borough network redesigns. Analyzes and evaluates traffic and ridership data on bus operations. Assists the Senior Schedule Manager in the preparation of estimates of financial impact of potential budget modifications, service changes and NYCT Labor agreements. May assist the Senior Director in the creation of the Platform Budget and other day to day budget functions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Planning or Transportations Planning, or a closely related field, and two (2) years of related experience, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience. DESIRED SKILLS Experience with NYCT Bus operations, bus service analysis or planning, and/or schedule making. SELECTION METHOD Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, interview, and written assessment. The posted range reflects expected compensation and may be updated as market or business needs evolve.
