About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across all clinical and support services, with a focus on the hospital's day-to-day operations, quality and safety outcomes, workforce performance, and overall operational and financial performance. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and advancing the hospital's mission as a critical safety-net provider. The successful candidate will lead large-scale operational transformation efforts, drive measurable improvements in efficiency and productivity, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Collaboration with the CEO, senior leadership, and external partners is essential to strengthen the hospital's academic, community, and research programs. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years' leadership experience in hospital or health system operations. A proven track record in operational and financial performance, as well as experience in leading transformation and performance improvement initiatives, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical service line strategy, digital transformation, and a commitment to advancing health equity. Key qualifications include the ability to partner effectively with physician leadership, manage large multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. The COO will also be expected to have excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
