What You Can Expect Local work in and around Nashville Competitive pay based on experience Reliable, full‑time hours Safe, organized job sites with consistent work Bring your own basic tools (hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, and tool pouch) Current Project Highlights 1010 Church | 60 Story Multi‑Family | Nashville, TN 1740 Division Street | 20 Story Multi‑Family | Nashville, TN Chestnut Street| Office and Venue Development | Nashville, TN Harpeth Hall STEM Building | School Addition | Nashville, TN Oak Hill School | School Athletic Fields | Nashville, TN 1221 Grundy | 16 Story Multi‑Family | Nashville, TN Amazon | Tower 2 Tenant Buildout | Nashville, TN Key Responsibilities Construct and assemble formwork systems for concrete foundations, walls, columns, and slabs Precisely cut, measure and install construction materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for carpentry tasks Install anchor bolts, steel embed plates, and other fixtures in formwork Removal and wrecking of formwork after concrete has cured General knowledge and ability to interpret construction drawings and documents. General Carpenter Build, install, and maintain handrails and temporary enclosures Install interior blocking, and have knowledge of doors, frames, and hardware Install interior protections, floor coverings, and waterproofing General understanding plans and specifications to guide construction Precisely cut, measure and install construction materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for carpentry tasks Collaborate and work with plumbers, electricians, and other professionals on construction projects Qualifications Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 3 years commercial carpentry experience required Work in compliance with safety protocols and enforce the company standards Perform work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Ability to work at elevated heights and lift up to 75 pounds Strong work ethic and commitment to safety on the jobsite Commitment to train, mentor, and share knowledge and skills with apprentices or junior carpenters Why Work With Us At Brasfield & Gorrie, our purpose is building exceptional people, trusting relationships, great projects, and strong communities.
