Paid Fall Music Group Publishing Intern

Overview The Insomniac Music Group is looking for a highly motivated Publishing Intern to join the records team in Calabasas, CA. This paid internship provides hands‑on exposure to catalog management, metadata organization, and creative operations within the music publishing sector. The intern will report to the Insomniac Music Group Publishing Manager. Responsibilities Track ISWCs and audit publishing records for accuracy. Add split information for exploited songs in DISCO. Tag and organize the full catalog in DISCO. Upload audio to the Master Publishing Rights sheet. Support writer catalog cleanup and spotlight creation. Create writer spotlights for social media, marketing, and sync opportunities. Update and maintain the Publishing Spotify playlist. Assist with publishing social channels, bios, and website content. Contribute to website upgrades and improvements. Perform all other publishing‑related duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Ability to work out of the Calabasas, CA office. Typical commitment of 16–29 hours per week. Motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and active problem‑solving mindset. Passion for music publishing, A&R, or the music business. Experience with Google Sheets/Excel. Comfortable learning new catalog platforms (DISCO). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Work Environment Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evenings, and weekend hours as required. Must tolerate loud noise levels and temperature extremes while working onsite at various event locations. Must be able to work in an open‑concept office space. Compensation Hourly rate: $18.00 USD.
