Job Description: Behavioral Health Advocate Non-Exempt Salary: $50,000/Year Scope of Position: The Behavioral Health Advocate (BHA) is responsible for the assessment and intervention of program participants who have identified behavioral health concerns as being a barrier to reaching their full potential. As a BHA, you will assist in providing brief therapeutic interventions and referring to long-term external supportive services when applicable. Essential Functions: Assess and build therapeutic relationships with participants to assist with client-centered interventions aimed at reducing barriers Provide holistic individualized supportive services to assist in client's professional and personal developmental needs and opportunities Provide individual coaching, psychoeducation, and facilitating groups when applicable Identify beneficial community resources for participants and coordinate external referrals when appropriate Uphold confidentiality standards with all client interactions, in accordance with your advanced degree and/or licensing board Maintain organized, confidential, and well documented participant case notes in accordance with program standards, and with ethical consideration for your licensure board Other opportunities as assigned Education and Experience Requirements: Master's degree required in Social Work, Counseling, Counseling Education or related field, with 2-3 years of clinical experience Firm grasp of ethical expectations and the ability to maintain ethical standards without onsite supervision Experience with counseling individuals and families Ability to prioritize tasks and great documentation skills Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment Customer service experience strongly preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and automobile required EDS I is an equal opportunity employer.
