We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role plays a key part in financial analysis, audit coordination, and supporting management decision-making.

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role plays a key part in financial analysis, audit coordination, and supporting management decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly and year-end financial close processes
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports and support group reporting requirements
- Support budgeting and forecasting; perform variance analysis
- Manage tax compliance (e.g., Sales & Use Tax, 1099) with external advisors
- Research and apply accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, J-GAAP)
- Assist with audits and improve accounting processes
- Provide guidance to junior accounting staff
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-8+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS and J-GAAP preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- CPA or progress toward CPA/CMA
- Experience working with international or overseas reporting
- Business-level Japanese (reading, writing, speaking) required
