Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will play an important role in the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, with responsibility across accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and general accounting activities . The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of accounting processes from start to finish. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, resolving discrepancies, and helping ensure accounting operations run efficiently. Key Responsibilities Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, vendor reconciliations, and payment preparation Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, cash application, account reconciliation, and collections Maintain accurate and timely accounting and bookkeeping records Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations Research and resolve vendor and customer account discrepancies Review AP and AR aging reports and follow up on outstanding items Maintain accurate vendor and customer account information and supporting documentation Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules as needed Assist with general ledger maintenance and account analysis Support financial reporting and provide accounting information as requested Maintain organized financial records and ensure transactions are properly documented Collaborate with internal departments, customers, and vendors to resolve accounting-related issues Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed Qualifications 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related experience preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger activity Hands-on experience with AP, AR, and account reconciliations Experience assisting with month-end close processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling financial information What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a hands-on Staff Accountant who takes ownership of their responsibilities and understands how the pieces of the accounting cycle work together.
