Embark on a rewarding journey shaping young minds as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This full-time opportunity spans from early August through late May, based at an elementary school in Reserve, Louisiana. By supporting a diverse group of students, you will help build a nurturing learning environment that encourages growth, discovery, and achievement for every child.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Louisiana Special Education Educator Certificate required
  • Previous experience working within special education settings is highly valued
  • Adaptability and comfort in a variety of classroom environments and resource models
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to individualized education plans
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, support personnel, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage individualized plans tailored to each student's strengths and needs
  • Employ classroom strategies and modifications to foster academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress records, supporting IEP compliance
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Communicate regularly with parents and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress and needs
  • Participate in school-based meetings, professional development, and community activities as needed
