Security Officer Access Control Patrol
As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and support a welcoming, professional environment. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Your visible presence, clear communication, and customer-focused approach will help deter security-related incidents while supporting daily operations. Job Schedule:
DayTime Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, truck, and incident records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
- Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, access control concerns, and policy violations to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
